The East Bay Regional Park District has designated this 21-acre park as an off-leash zone, thanks to the lobbying efforts of Point Isabel Dog Owners. An estimated 800,000 dogs visit each year, and it's easy to see why. There are sweeping views of the Golden Gate Bridge and the Marin Headlands, and plenty of space for strolling, playing fetch, and just simple enjoyment of the water. It's also well appointed with bathrooms, benches and picnic tables, and plenty of poop bags to keep the area clean. And the icing on the cake: at nearby Mudpuppy's you can have your dog cleaned up while you enjoy a cappuccino. Learn more about Point Isabel on our escape the city page.
