Enter the park at Crestlake Dr. and Wawona St. The off-leash area is the field east of the lake on the north side along Wawona St. between 21st and 23rd Avenues. Parking lot inside the park.

It's no mystery why this neighborhood dog play area was ranked most popular by the members of San Francisco Dog. For starters, there's a parking lot. And it just gets better from there. There are two lovely meadows well protected from wind by hills and trees and connected by a trail that is framed by eucalyptus trees. And while your dog plays, you can listen to the music from outdoor concerts at the nearby Stern Grove Festival. Other than service dogs, pets aren't allowed in the concert meadow. Be sure to keep dogs out of the marsh area too.
