The Recreation and Park Department recently approved a plan to divide this 4.3 acre park into three areas: one for dogs off leash, one for dogs on leashes, and one where dogs aren't allowed (mostly for children and sunbathers). Though the fence around the dog play area is not yet built and isn't expected to be in place before July 2008, a Duboce Park regular calls it "one of the best self-policed parks in the city." Monthly poop cleanups organized by DuboceDog are usually held on the last Saturday of every month, and anyone can join to help. Visit DuboceDog's web page for more information or go to the Friends of Duboce Park website.
