Enter at Bosworth St. off of O'Shaughnessy Blvd. or, if you're prepared to sniff around a bit, via a path off of the trail that circles the baseball field behind the Diamond Heights shopping center parking lot. Needless to say, this access is harder to find. Street parking only at the Bosworth St. entrance.

This is not an officially designated off-leash area, but as long as you keep your dog out of the planted areas and the creek, it's a delightful spot for a hike. Trails criss-cross this natural canyon. Watch out for poison oak and herds of goats—we kid you not, hardy har har.

A recent renovation completely transformed this once grubby four-acre park. The upper terrace features a spacious, fully-fenced dog run with fabulous views of downtown and the Bay.
