This is a pleasant park in the heart of the city that is completely open for off-leash play. In 2006 it was named one of the 10 best dog parks in the country by Dog Fancy magazine. An active, sociable group has formed among dog people who use the park, now formalized as the Ohlone Dog Park Association.

At Tilden as at other areas in the East Bay Regional Park District, dogs may roam off-leash as long as they are under voice control and you have a 6 ft. leash on you. Dogs are not permitted in the Tilden Nature Area or on the golf course.

This 90-acre park has lovely views over the Bay, gentle hills, and rolling meadows. A 17-acre area has been designated for off-leash play. Please respect the rules and keep your dog on the leash elsewhere in the park, including on the trail that takes you to the off-leash area.
