| Vet SOS |
 |
Vet SOS provides free vet care for the pets of homeless San Franciscans.
The Vet SOS van visits several San Francisco neighborhoods on the second Friday of each month. The organization's volunteers also see clients at the city's bi-monthly Project Homeless Connect events. The team conducts exams, performs vaccinations and other procedures, dispenses collars, leashes, and food, and educates guardians about proper care of their pets. When necessary, Vet SOS will transport animals to a partner agency for further care.
Vet SOS is always looking for skilled volunteers (vets, vet techs, etc.) and often needs donations of specific items, such as leftover pet medications.
