The SF/SPCA's Spay & Neuter Clinic will alter male dogs for $85, females for $100, and pregnant females for $190 (an additional $25 is charged for dogs over 65 lbs). If your pet is getting spayed or neutered, they'll throw in a microchip for an additional $25. Spaying and neutering are available free of cost to the pets of homeless San Franciscans.
The Pet-A-Care program provides pets of low-income seniors with free spay and neuter surgeries and low-cost general vet care. The Emergency Veterinary Care Fund offers interest-free financing to low-income residents whose pets need urgent medical treatment.
Hours: Monday through Saturday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Wednesday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
