Animal Birth Control Clinic
Despite the specificity of its name, this clinic is actually a full-service veterinary facility, providing services from vaccinations to surgery at low cost to pet guardians, including quite a few San Franciscans willing to venture across the bridge.

Here, the distemper-parvo/6-in-1 vaccine costs only $11, and the rabies vaccine is $20. A basic physical exam runs $40, with additional services like nail clipping and heartworm testing at equally reasonable prices ($10 and $35, respectively).

Spay and neuter costs begin at $204 and vary according to the animal's weight, age, and other factors. If you have a male dog, you can find lower prices for neutering at the Marin Humane Society (see below). If your hound is a female and over 30 pounds, MHS won't perform the surgery, so ABCC may be your best bet in the North Bay.

ABCC offers all services free of charge to the local homeless population.
